Gorgeous Aruba & Barbados

Here we are in our rented jeep in Aruba. The island has a lot of off-roads perfect for vehicles like this.

Sublime waters of Aruba. Ever get the feeling you are being watched? ...Something just made me look down and I saw 100+ eyes belonging to these greyish crabs curiously peering up at me from the crags of the rock. I almost tumbled over in shock.

Aruban waterfront at night. You can see the front of our ship in the background.

Nightlife in Aruba

Next up was the island of Barbados. It was the first day that we encountered rain. We took a tour of the island and also spent a few hours on the beach. We took a small glass-bottom boat out into the ocean where we saw these giant sea turtles and a real-live shipwreck that was really cool. On the menu that day were some delicious curry chicken and beef rotis from a roadside vendor. I really wanted to try the flying fish, but nobody could resist the apeal of a freshly made roti.

Due to potential water damage to my camera, my pics on this island was unfortunaely limited.

Bet you didn't know that Oprah Winfrey owns a home in Barbados. It's one of these homes above. Our taxi driver just wasn't sure which one.

Meeting Ticos. He's munching on a cucumber. I didn't want to get too close as it looked like he wanted to grab my hair.

I've talked a lot about the food on the different islands, but the food on the ship was first rate. It was like eating at a 5-star restaurant every night.

Every meal was made into a tiny work of art- Even my fruit salad.

Here is Donovan enjoying his meal- can't remember what it was ??
